Last weekend, on October 1, Young Riders School hosted last jumping competition of the season called "Golden Autumn 2011".
Competitions like celebration - so can be defined the motto of the organizers of the event, Young Riders School and Rider's Club "Victoria". The festive atmosphere was granted not only by the numerous participants, but also the weather conditions that were excellent for enjoying the "golden autumn". In the afternoon a bride Vika visited the event as she had decided to mount a horse at her wedding day and participate at Ladies Cup competition.
The competition schedule was varied so that every rider could take part at one of the competitions at least. The winner of the main competition of the event "Golden Autumns 2011" Cup became rider Kristaps Neretnieks with horse Geisha. His team gained nine places during the whole event.
The winner of the Ladies Cup was Gunita Buliņa, and the winner of Gentlemen's Cup was Sergejs Klokovs. Inga Mikelsone, the main judge of the event, admitted that this time she felt an authentic competition spirit among the sportsmen. From ordinary training competitions they have grown to serious competitions to what riders prepare with great seriousness and responsibility.
Organizers thanks to sponsors' support could provide many different prizes to the winners and participants of the event. There were cakes for Ladies and big pretzels for Gentlemen in the shape of the place won to celebrate their success at the competitions. The winners of the main competition of the event received sweets, laundry detergents so that their riders' trousers and jacket would be bright for the next victories. The winners also received gifts from the Incukalns Municipality. The horses of the winners received food and snacks from almost all horse nutrition sellers represented in Latvia, as well as other gifts.
Young Riders School and Rider's Club "Victoria" concluded their competition season of 2011 with the event "Golden Autumn 2011". "I consider that this season was very successful," admits Baiba Ruma, the chairperson of the board of Young Riders School. "We have successfully spent three local competitions by even breaking participation record with 344 starts per day, as well as 4th Latvian Horse Days and international competitions Baltic Riders Tour 2011 that took place at mid-August. During the season our team has established good cooperation relations between each other, and I hope next year we will continue it," says Baiba Ruma.
